Stress-Free Sessions | Authentic Moments | Real Meaningful Photos
A seemingly ordinary day has so many little moments worth remembering. The way your littlest clings to your leg, carries a baby doll in each hand or lays their head on your chest, won't last forever. Before you realize, you will be playing more complicated board games or going on challenging hikes with your older kids. Even the teenager year challenges will soon be a thing of the past, so let's document these moments before they are gone.
Hi I am Amy Dangerfield
a documentary family photographer in phoenix
who believes that our lives might not be pretty all the time but they surely are the most beautiful. I am passionate about preserving individual and family histories in the most honest way hoping that collaboratively, we can have a more accurate societal history recorded. As a mom myself, my mission is to empower moms to honor and celebrate our real life. I, as an educator and speaker, have been guiding others to lean in to each artist’s identity and passion to become an authentic storyteller.
I have been named Top 100 Documentary Family Photographer In the World, frequently awarded in international photo contests such as Voice competition, DFA photo competition, Fearless Family Photo Contest, This is Reportage: Family Contest as well as Inspirational Family Photo Contest. My work is frequently published internationally.
Born and raised in Wuhan China, I moved to the US to complete my Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and met my husband at school. I currently reside in Phoenix, Arizona with my husband, 4 little ones, and a tortoise that is supposed to be able to grow to over 100 lbs. I am also a homeschool mom trying to raise bilingual kids.
“The days are long but the years are short.”
I used to hate this saying because it is so painfully true, yet we moms are often left with the burden of figuring out how to balance between shouldering all the invisible load of running a household, being present and documenting the moments.
What if I tell you there is an easy solution…
